This week we are learning about construction and transportation. Today we read If I Could Drive a Firetruck by Michael Teitelbaum. In this book, we learned what all a firetruck did with it's hoses, ladders, and sirens. During our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to match transportation and construction vehicles. We matched the correct front of each vehicle with the correct back. For our fine motor activity, we did a transportation dotting page. Each of our friends got a different vehicle to use the colored dotters on. Then, we used our sensory and science skills to do a muddy transportation painting. We drove cars through the paint that we pretended was mud to paint across our papers.
