Happy Friday! Today we read There was an Old Lady who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro. In this book, an old lady swallowed some snow and a bunch of other things until she got the hiccups and spits it all of the things back out to make a snowman. During our sensory and science activity, we used playdough to make little snowmen. We rolled our playdough into a small, medium, and large ball and stacked them on top of each other to build our snowmen. Then we used our fine motor skills to practice cutting on our snowman and snowflake lines. We cut the lines all the way up to each of the pictures that we needed to reach. For our last activity, we used our math and cognition skills to make a melted snowman shape craft. We glued on white square pieces of paper onto our blue paper before we glued eyes, a mouth, a carrot nose, and the snowman's arms on.
