Today we read My Farm Friends by Wendell Minor. This book gives a cute introduction to some of the animals that live on the farm. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced writing our names. We wrote our names on the paper that we used for our next activity. Our next activity helped us utilize our sensory and science skills to make a painted tractor using our footprints. Our teachers painted our foot using a paint brush and green paint, then we placed our foot onto our papers. During our math and cognition activity, we played a curly pig color sorting game. We matched the correct colored swirly pig tail to the right colored pig.

Happy Wednesday! Today we read Baa-Choo by Sarah Weeks. Sam the lamb was sick and could only get out the "baa...ahh" but he had to have his friends help with the "choo" part of his sneeze. For our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to measure a farm animal using blocks. We mainly measured a little chick that was ducking down, one on top of an egg, and one stretching to the sky. We then did our literacy and fine motor activity that was our letter 'F' creation. We dotted the letter F, traced over the words 'F is for Farmer,' and colored in our farmer. During our sensory and science activity, we we played in our farm sensory bin. We had a barn in the sensory bin surrounded by grass and farm animals.
