This week we are talking about dinosaurs! Today we read Dinosaur Roar! by Paul & Henrietta Stickland.  Then, we got into small groups and looked for dinosaur bones in the sensory bin for sensory and science.  Next, we colored the letter of the week "F" for literacy and fine motor.  At last, we counted dots on dinosaurs for math and cognition.

Today at circle time, we read Amazing Apples by Jeff Bauer. Then, we got into our small groups to do our apple themed activities. For math and cognition, we counted the number of apples that were on a card. In another small group, we used our literacy and fine motor skills to talk about what we were going to make for our letter "E" creation this week. For our sensory and science group, we took chunks of apples and put them in different liquids to see if the apples turned brown. We put chunks of apples into water, soda, lemon juice, and vinegar and waited for a few minutes before checking to see if the apples changed colors.

Friendly Reminders:

CLC will be closed for a teacher work day on Friday, October 23rd.
