Today, during circle time we watched an informative video about Cinco De Mayo. For our first activity, we traced different words that described characteristics of Mexico such as sombrero and peppers. For our second activity, we used forks to make spike like stamps on pictures of cactuses. We also spent most of the morning enjoying the beautiful weather before the storm hit! We had a terrific Tuesday.

Although it was the start to our Cinco De Mayo week, we spent the day working on Mother's Day gifts! We chose to not take any pictures, that way the gifts were still a surprise! Tune in the rest of the week to see the fun festivities that will take place. Enjoy your Monday, we sure did!

Today, we traveled to Australia to learn all about their culture! We watched an informative video to learn fun facts before we did our activities. For our first activity, we all took turns jumping to see if any of us could jump as far as a kangaroo! For our second activity, we put the colors of the Australian flag which are red, white, and blue paint in a bag and had sensory play. For our final small group, we painted popsicle sticks, and later we're going to glue them together in a V shape to make a boomerang. We had a fantastic Friday.

Today, during circle time we read We Need Water. For our first small group, we used bird seed to trace the letter T in upper and lowercase form. For our second small group, we played Earth Day bingo! For our final small group, we counted pictures of different recyclable items and then identified the number with a clothes pin. We had a wonderful Wednesday.

During circle time today, we read Easter Eggs Everywhere. For our first small group activity, we counted eggs in a basket, and then used clothes pins to clip the number that corresponded with the amount. For our second small group activity, we used pompoms to trace the letter B and create a bunny! For our final small group, we used dry erase markers to trace triangles that looked like carrots to feed a bunny. We had a fantastic Friday.

Today, during circle time we read The Best Easter Eggs Ever. For our first small group activity, we matched eggs by identifying their patterns. For our second small group activity, we identified which egg was different by what letter it had on it. For our final small group, we used plastic eggs to make shapes in play-doh. We had a great day!

Today, during circle time we had a special visitor from the library come and read us Hurry Up and Slow Down. For our activities, we colored the coloring sheet that the librarian brought us, and then we did process art on a picture of a bunny! We decided after activities to enjoy the beautiful weather and spent the rest of the morning outside!

Today, during circle time we read Egg-Napped. For our first small group activity, we decorated pictures of eggs by dipping cotton balls in paint and then stamping the egg. For our second small group activity, we put eggs in order by identifying letters and then singing our ABC's. For our final small group, we traced numbers on eggs to work on our writing skills. We also got to color eggs for our deviled egg snack later this week!We had a terrific Tuesday.
