It's Wednesday and that means we are already halfway through our construction and transportation theme. Today we read Tough Trucks by Tony Mitton and Ant Parker. This book told us about many tough trucks that are used to haul rocks and dirt as well as trucks that hold liquids. During our first activity, we used our fine motor skills to do a transportation tracing page. We traced the lines starting at each truck and went to the other side of the page. For our math and cognition activity, we sorted the sizes of different construction and transportation trucks. We sorted them out from small to big and talked about which cards are big and small. Then we used our sensory and science skills to look into our transportation themed sensory bin. We drove cars over the rocks that were in our sensory bin.
