Happy Monday! Our theme this week is happy holidays. Today we read Snowbear's Christmas Countdown by Theresa Smythe. In this book, Snowbear did something each day to help him celebrate the big holiday that was coming up. He put up decorations, found a tree, made cookies, and many other things that got him excited for the holiday. For our first activity, we used our fine motor skills to make tissue paper snowflakes. We ripped the tissue paper up into littler pieces and glued it onto our paper to look like a snowflake. For our math and cognition activity, we placed fingerprint lights onto their string on our paper. We stamped our fingerprint and placed many different colored lights on our string of lights. Then we used our sensory and science skills to paint triangle paper plates green to make a tree. We made sure that each of our plates were covered completely in green so that we could make a tree with them. Mrs. Tammy also started her holiday themed meals for us to enjoy.
