Today we read Career Day by Anne Rockwell and illustrated by Lizzy Rockwell. In this book, the students in the class take turns inviting special guests in to talk to their fellow classmates about what they do for a job and how it helps the community. During our sensory and science activity, we looked inside of our community helper sensory bin. In our sensory bin, there were a lot of vehicles that different community helpers use including a police car, fire truck, garbage truck, and many others. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to color and write on our letter "L" worksheet. We practiced tracing the letter "L" as well as finding items that start with the letter such as "lollipop". For our math and cognition activity, we did some community helper counting clip cards. We counted the different vehicles that community helpers use to help our community.
