Happy Tuesday! Its Thanksgiving week and we are so excited! Today we read the book The Little Pilgrim by Brandi Dougherty and illustrated by Kristen Richards. This book was about a little girl named Mini. She was the littlest pilgrim of all the pilgrims her age. Because she was so small, many people did not see or acknowledge her until one day when she made a new friend while picking berries. Activities today were a blast! We started with our math and cognition activity. For this activity we had lots of different turkeys with different shapes on them. We had to find the turkey tail feathers that had the corresponding shapes! Next we worked on sensory and science. We took our dotter markers and we put different color dots all over our coffee filters then we sprayed them with water to make the colors spread. We then let them dry and we used them as our feathers for a turkey craft. For our last activity we had fine motor and literacy. The kids were excited for this activity. They love when we bring out the scissors! We had papers that had many kinds of different lines; one straight, some wavy, and some zig zag. The kids got to cut their lines until they got to the end where the pie was. They all did an awesome job with their cutting today!
