Happy Wednesday! We are having such a blast with Thanksgiving week. We read the book Run, Turkey, Run by Diane Mayr and illustrated by Laura Rader. This book was about a turkey that is trying his best not to be eaten on Thanksgiving day. He first tries to blend in with the pigs but the farmer realized it was him so he kept running he tries this with multiple things till he decides to put branches on top of himself to look like a tree and surprisingly the farmer did not see him and the turkey got away after all. The farmer gave up and they had grilled cheese sandwiches instead! Today we had lots of fun outside. We stayed out for all of our activities. For our first activity today we did math and cognition. For this activity we had turkeys with different colored feathers. We took the colored popsicle sticks and matched them to the corresponding colored feathers! For our second activity we did sensory and science. For this activity we painted all of our friends' hands. Each finger was a different color and our palms and thumbs were brown so that we could make a hand print turkey. For our last activity we did fine motor skills and literacy. For this activity we all made our christmas list. We had lots of cool ideas to write on them!
