This week we are learning all about pumpkins. Today we read Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper. A group of friends started to make pumpkin soup but wouldn't let duck help with the soup so he ran away. His friends began to worry about him so they go to find him and let him help make the soup together. During our sensory and science activity, we made handprint pumpkin paintings. Our teachers painted our hand orange and then placed it on our white circle pieces of paper. For our math and cognition activity, we measured how tall we are with our pumpkin height chart. Our teacher held their hand where the top of our head was at and then we counted how many pumpkins tall we were. Then we used our fine motor skills to lace string through pumpkins. We used a green string and tied it off before lacing our pumpkins.
