Today we read Apples, Apples, Apples by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace. This book was about members of the Rabbit family visiting an apple orchard, where they have fun picking apples and discovering there many uses. Today we had a special visitor, our friend Katie from the Camden County Health department came to talk to us about apples. For our first activity, we used our fine motor skills to circle which apples we liked and did not like. During our next activity, we tried different kinds of apples using our sensory and science skills. We talked about the different taste and textures that each of apples had. For our last activity, we math and cognition we recognized the different colors of apples that we tried. We tried red, yellow, and green apples.
