Today we read I Like Myself by Hans Wilhelm. This book has a dog that is small and different from the other dogs but ends up being able to play with the other dogs. We talked about how it's okay to be different from one another because that's what makes each and every one of us so special. During our first activity, we used our sensory and science skills to make watercolor x-rays. We used the watercolors to paint over our person to reveal the hidden skeleton underneath. We then used our our math and cognition skills to make heartbeat patterns. We used little colorful beads to decorate the lines that represent our heart beats. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we listened to a read aloud book called Me & My Amazing Body by Joan Sweeney. We learned a lot of about our body including our bones, muscles, brain, and how our heart pumps the blood all throughout our bodies.
~Important Upcoming Dates~
We have a staff meeting at 4pm on Monday, October 11th.
