It's the start of a new week and this week we are learning all about our bodies. Today we read When I Get Bigger by Mercer Mayer. This book talks about a little boy and what he wants to be able to do when he gets older and grows up. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we traced one of our friend's body onto a big sheet of paper. After they were traced onto the paper, we all used crayons to draw their body parts onto them. We then used our math and cognition skills to count our fingerprints on our fingerprint counting graph. We used our stamp pads to make our fingerprints onto the paper. During our sensory and science activity, we used paper towel rolls as a heartbeat stethoscope. We held the paper towel roll up to our ear and then put the other side up to our friend's chest to listen to their heartbeat.
