Today we read Crocodaddy by Kim Norman and illustrated by David Walker. In this book, the boy talks about how the crocodile goes away and comes back and how he is off the crocodile and on him while he rides through the water with him. For our sensory and science activity, we did a warm water vs cold water science experiment. In this experiment, we poured hot water (red water) and cold water (blue water) into a container to show the difference between hot and cold. Then we used our math and cognition skills to identify hot and cold on cards. During our fine motor activity, we colored a hot and cold coloring page. The coloring page had hot things like a sun, a candle, and a mug of hot chocolate. It also had cold things like a snowman, ice cream, and a snow flake. Before lunch we went out to the front sidewalk and drew pictures for kindness week.
