Today we read Little Dinos Don't Hit by Michael Dahl. In this book, we learned that instead of hitting your friends and family, we should use our hands to help them. For our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to put together puzzles that had opposites on them. The puzzle pieces would only match up with the correct opposite. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to learn some sign language. We learned the word hat, ball, shoes, and book and we talked about how we can use opposites with these sign language words. During our sensory and science activity, we did a sink or float activity. We dropped stones into the water and saw that they sunk on the bottom but the stacking rings floated at the top of the water. We also celebrated our friends that are moving onto kindergarten with donuts at breakfast this morning.
