Today we read I am Superman by Michael Teitelbaum and illustrated by Rick Farley. In this book, we learned about all about Superman's powers and how he saved Metropolis from Lex Luther who is a villain. During our first small group activity, we made superhero city skyscrapers using our fine motor skills. We made our skyscrapers using small squares of tissue paper and glued them to our black paper. In our other small group, we went into the classroom and used our math and cognition skills to go on a color hunt. We looked around the classroom for lots of colorful things and brought them back to the carpet to match the correct color. For our sensory and science activity, we went back into a large group to recognize shapes. Our shapes that we made into a house were made out of craft sticks just like the story of the Three Little Pigs. We used squares and triangles to make the houses.
