Today we read Gorillas by Helen Frost. This book taught us about the behaviors and physical appearance that gorillas have when they live in the rainforests. For our large group activity, we used our fine motor skills to draw a rainforest. We drew different plants and animals that live in the rainforest. We also took our sensory and science skills into the classroom to look inside of our sensory bin in a small group. We saw many rainforest animals and made the different sounds that the animals make. In our other small group, we did a rainforest themed cutting practice activity. We cut out two puzzles and then used our math and cognition skills to put the puzzles back together.
