This week we are learning all about pond life. Today our blue group read A Duck So Small by A.H. Benjamin. In this book, there is a smaller duck of all of the ducks and he can't do what the other ducks do. He decided to try and do what other types of birds do but couldn't do that either and he finally found something that only he could do. In our red group, they read The Teeny Weeny Tadpole by Sheridan Cain and illustrated by Jack Tickle. The tadpole meets lots of other animals that can jump but he can't jump yet but can swim very fast. During our sensory and science activity, we got into a small group to go fishing in our sensory bin. We took our fishing poles with a magnet on them to catch our magnetic fish. In our other small group, we used our math and cognition skills to match turtles that had a number on its shell to the correctly numbered pond. For our large group activity, we painted with frogs. We used our fine motor skills to have our frog hop across our piece of paper.
