Today our red group read A Duck So Small by A.H. Benjamin. In this book, there is a smaller duck of all of the ducks and he can't do what the other ducks do. He decided to try and do what other types of birds do but couldn't do that either and he finally found something that only he could do. In our blue group, they read The Teeny Weeny Tadpole by Sheridan Cain and illustrated by Jack Tickle. The tadpole meets lots of other animals that can jump but he can't jump yet but can swim very fast. For our large group activity, we used our fine motor skills to tear up tissue paper. We took that torn up tissue paper and made lily pads. In our first small group activity, we built water snakes using our sensory and science skills. We also used a dice to race rubber ducks in our other small group. We used our math and cognition skills to roll and count the dots on the dice to move our ducks to the finish line.
