Because the weather was so beautiful, we took advantage by spending our morning outdoors! We followed our daily schedule, only out on the playground! After practicing our rhythm stick songs, we sat in the shade for circle time. We were all considered "weather watchers" and discussed all the words we could think of to describe what we saw and felt. To continue our special day, we brought out our small group activities. One activity involved rolling labeled dice and graphing what weather we landed on. We discussed what types of clothes are appropriate for different types of weather in our second small group. Then, we demonstrated how hurricanes develop and grow by stirring a bowl of water and adding blue food coloring to visually see the swirling action. Even when we thought our day couldn't get better, we enjoyed our first picnic this year for lunch! We had a great Thursday!
