As an ending to our weather week, we read When the Wind Blew at circle time. We had a lot to discuss after playing outside and experiencing the wind today firsthand! We sang for one of our friends who will be celebrating her birthday over the weekend, too! For our first small group activity, we identified visual images and talked about how different types of weather required different clothing and items. We worked on counting, one to one correspondence, and shape recognition in our second small group by rolling dice and attaching that number of rays to our suns, as well as matching rays based on their corresponding shapes. Then, as our large group activity, we used various paintbrushes to create stormy weather paintings. We had a fantastic Friday!
