Starting this week off we have a new theme and we celebrated a birthday! After reading Insect Homes at circle time, we sang for a friend that turned three today! Our first activity involved identifying number symbols and using one to one correspondence to stack blocks on the bugs' backs. We explored the sensory bin in our second small group that was filled with sand, rocks, bugs, and various tools such as tongs, measuring cups, and magnifying glasses. Then, for our final group, we colored our very own bug booklets! We read the pages together and listened to the color words mentioned to know what color our bugs should have been. Due to our ever changing Missouri weather, we spent our morning indoors, hoping for the sun to warm up the temperature. Before we enjoyed some sunshine this afternoon, our Stars of the Week shared their favorite things with us! It was an amazing Monday!
