After we read a few more poems from Happy St. Patrick's Day, Curious George, we again discussed our past experiences with sneaky leprechauns at circle time. As our first small group activity, we participated in a colored shamrock relay! We took turns racing to retrieve rainbow colored shamrocks. Next, we explored with different materials and tools to create salt clovers in our second group. Once we traced our clovers in glue, we sprinkled or dumped salt, then we used pipettes to drop green watercolor, watching as the color spread over our masterpieces. Before spending some much needed playtime outside, we also explored different sensory tubs filled with green materials as we searched for and identified letters. We had a wonderful Wednesday!
