Before our day began, we noticed that a special someone had visited our center! We had to step over his little, green footprints and gold dust to get inside, and on the door, we read his message that let us know he would be returning later. Today, at circle time, we read Looking for Leprechauns. Our activities were a little different because we spent a lot of time constructing our leprechaun traps. We used various tools and art supplies to decorate our boxes, and we even added treats inside, like gold and gold coins, apples, and ice cream, to entice our sneaky guest! After we set up our traps outside where we found the clues, we gathered back at the tables for an interesting painting activity. We used cut, green peppers like stamps to create clovers on our papers. We noticed that some of our peppers made three leaf clovers and others made four leafed ones. We also found that the cut peppers were wet enough to make marks even before we placed them in the paint! Most of our outdoor time was spent peeking at our traps through the fences and looking for clues on the playground! We had an amazing Thursday!
