Today in circle time we read Red Fish Blue Fish, One Fish Two Fish by Dr. Suess! For our small groups we glued shapes to make our names and matched the color fish with the right color word! In our large group we went outside and talked about the color of the ice chalk! Once we learned the colors we had a blast drawing on the playground!

Today for circle time we read a book about our shapes and colors! For our small group we played in the sensory bin and talked about the different shapes and colors we found in it. In our other small group we matched the different color buttons to their matching cup. We also counted the buttons after we sorted them! For our large group we drew shapes in shaving cream! Today we had a lot of fun! Cant wait to see what tomorrow holds!

Today, during circle time we read Press Here. We spent one of our small groups making pizzas with different shaped toppings! While in our other small group, we explored colors on the light table. For our large group we painted with purple paint, by mixing red and blue together! We had an awesome day!

Today, during circle time we read Ants Go Marching. For one of our small groups we explored bugs and sand in the sensory bin. For our other small group we practiced our cutting and rolling skills with play-dough. For our large group, we traced the first letter of our name by paint dotting. We had a fantastic Friday!

New Zealand was our focus today. At circle time, we read a booklet about the islands. Our first small group worked with mountains and sorted them by size. In our second small group, we explored volcanoes by creating colorful eruptions with baking soda and vinegar. As our whole group activity, we identified the letter "I" for island, and then used glue and sand to cover the letters. We had a great Thursday!

Our activities today focused on a favorite picnic fruit; watermelon. At circle time we read The Watermelon Seed. We identified numbers on watermelon slices, and then rolled Play Doh seeds to match in one small group. In our other small group, we created watermelon squishy bags with pink body wash. For our whole group activity, we identified what letter watermelon begins with, and even practiced hole punching seeds to decorate our letters. We had a wonderful Wednesday!
