Today, during circle, time we watched a video, “Why We Celebrate the Fourth of July” by FreeSchool. For our sensory/science and math/cognition activities we used Pom Poms (some friends used brushes) to paint the American Flag. We talked about the red and white stripes, about the square/rectangle shape of the blue, and about the white stars on the flag. Then, for literacy/fine motor we made the letter “F” for “fireworks” out of play doh and we got a container full of objects that began with the letter “F” also. On the playground we noticed that our radishes are already starting to grow!

Friendly Reminder:
CLC will be closed June 29-July 3rd for Summer Break. We will be having a water day tomorrow June 24th and we will also have one on Friday, June 26th.

Today we read Happy Birthday Hamster by Cynthia Lord and illustrated by Derek Anderson because one of our teachers had her birthday today. For our math and cognition activity, we looked at numbers on plates that were red, white, and blue for the 4th of July. We then played in our firework sensory table for our sensory and science activity. In our fine motor and literacy activity, we traced the letter "F" because "F" is for fireworks.

Friendly Reminders:

CLC will be closed next week for Summer break Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3rd.
