Today, we read Pat Them Gently. It was about asking before petting an animal, petting it gently, and not chasing or hitting it. We practiced this on our puppy and then also talked about using nice, gentle hands with our friends. In small groups, we put puzzles together. One group did animal puzzles and the other group did the Peek-a-Boo family puzzle. It was exciting to pick up the puzzle pieces and find our families under them. We also drew with chalk on paper that was hanging from the easel and the wall.

Today, we read My Family. We played outside on the playground an danced and made music. During  small groups, we transferred water from one bowl to the other using basters and did mama and baby matching puzzles. We also linked our ducks together and made patterns with them. 

Today, we read Neighborhood Animals. We enjoyed labeling each animal in the book. Next, we took turns taking animals out of a basket and labeling the animal and making the animal's sound. We also explored shaving cream, laced animal faces, and did puzzles. 

Today, we read Owen and Mzee Best Friends and then we looked at our feelings poster. We labeled each emotion and did the sign for it. Next, we explored our Peek-A-Boo Board, under each felt flap we found a friend! We sorted different items by whether the item was soft or hard. We also laced felt squares onto crazy straws and played in the motor room! Have a great weekend!

Today, we danced to Toddler Radio and then picked songs out of the song basket to sing. Next, we read Polite Elephant and then we took turns putting together our emotions puzzle and talked about each emotion. We also explored our zipper board, got messy with cornmeal, and practiced cutting straws.

This morning we helped fold our blankets to put them back on our cots. At circle time, we read My Friends and then we stacked with blocks that had our friends' pictures on them. We also made yarn collage and then transferred ice cubes from one bowl to another with scoops and tongs. We also made music and played in the motor room.
