We are so glad to be back after our winter break! This week's theme is snow and ice. Today we read Let It Snow by Maryann Cocca-Leffler. This book showed us all of the fun things that we can do when it is cold and snowy outside. For our first activity, we used our math and cognition skills to count icicles on our counting clip cards. We counted all of the icicles on each card and recognized the correct number that we counted to. During our sensory and science activity, we made snowman paintings using a cotton swab. We dipped an end of the cotton swab into white paint and dotted our papers inside of the circles to help us build our snowman. Then we used our fine motor skills to make paper mittens. We decorated our mittens by coloring them before we placed cotton balls on them to make them extra warm. Our teachers helped us tape a string onto each mitten so we didn't loose them.
~Important Upcoming Dates~
We will be closed for Martin Luther King day on Monday, January 17th.
