Happy Thursday! We are having a blast with polar animals week. Today we read the book Swim Polar Bear Swim by Joan Stimson and illustrated by Meg Rutherford. This book was about a very brave polar bear who was not sure about learning how to swim. Most things this little brave polar bear did came easy to him but he was having a hard time learning how to swim. One day he woke up and finally decided this was the day he was going to figure out how to do it. He gave it one last try and he succeeded! For our math and cognition activity today, we did a penguin color sort. We all had different color scarves on our penguins and we had different color pom pom's that we had to match to them. For our sensory and science activity we made polar bear masks. We first painted them white and then we gave them black, round noses. For our fine motor and literacy activity we wrote our names in many different colors.
