Happy Monday! This week we are learning all about our 5 senses. Today we read the book Touch and Feel Farm by DK International Publishing Company. This book was all about different ways cetain things feel to the touch. We had a soft and fluffy chick, a lamb with a thick and woolly coat, and a piglet with a pink and spongy nose. For our first activity today we did math and cognition. For this activity we did a hand count. We had many different sized handprints and we put little objects in them to see how many each hand print would hold. We then counted them to see how many were in each. Next, we did our sensory and science activity. For this activity we had a surprise box. Our box was filled with balloons with many different feeling objects in them and the kids had to try to figure out by touching them what was inside. Our last activity was our fine-motor and literacy activity. For this activity, we had papers with differed patterned lines that we traced.
