It's Wednesday and we are already halfway through our week's theme of forest animals. Today we read Brave Little Bear by Rory Tyger. In this book, a little bear is scared of the dark and luckily has his stuffed alligator to comfort him as he finds out what the scary noises are. For our literacy and fine motor activity, we worked on our letter 'K' worksheet. We practiced tracing the letter 'K', found the letter in a jumble of letters, and found different pictures that start with the letter 'K' as well. Then, we used our sensory and science skills to look into our forest animal sensory bin. We had lots of forest animals mixed in with pebbles and other forest related objects. During our math and cognition activities, we did some counting clip cards that had forest animals on them. We counted the forest animals and then we clipped a clothespin onto the correct number that we counted to.
