Happy Thursday! Today we read a book about busy Squirrels by Melvin and Gilda Berger. This book told us all about life as a squirrel. Squirrels are very busy in fall time from collecting their nuts to hiding them so that later in fall they can find them. We also learned that squirrels eat nuts and seeds and drink water just like we do. For our first activity today we did math and cognition. This activity was a lot of fun! We had colored hedgehogs and we took different colors of pipe cleaners and matched them on all the different hedgehogs. For our second activity we did sensory and science. For this activity we took all different kinds of forest animal stencils. We then traced them with different color markers and decorated our cool forest animals. Our last activity was fine-motor and literacy. For this activity we took all different color markers and we wrote our names with them all making our paper have our names in rainbow colors.
