Happy Monday! This week we are learning about summertime fun. We read I See Summer by Charles Ghigna. In this book, the beach, seagulls, picnics, and swimming are just a few of the fun activities of summer. For our sensory and science activity, we talked about how ice cubes melt with a bit of heat. We used our warm hands and the sun to melt the ice cubes. We also used the ice cubes as writing utensils to practice writing the letter 'E' on the brick wall utilizing our literacy and fine motor skills. We practiced writing uppercase letter 'E' and lowercase letter 'e.' We also counted sprinkles on ice cream cones using our math and cognition skills. The sprinkles were very colorful and all over the ice cream cones.
