Today we read Sun and Moon by Rosalind Mist. This book talks about how hot the sun is and how it is made of really hot gas. The book also explains that the moon is a rocky, round ball that has many craters on it. For our sensory and science activity, we played in our space sensory bin once again. Then we used our math and cognition skills to bop rocket ship balloons. Each balloon had a number on it so we had to bop the balloon into the air that many times. We also discussed what colors are balloons were! During our last activity, we drew with chalk on the chalkboard using our literacy and fine motor skills. We drew different things that we would see in space like the stars, planets, the sun, and rocket ships. We also enjoyed a snack that was constellation shaped. We have had such a great week learning about space!
