Happy Thursday! Today we read My Book of Planets by Elise See Tai. This book talked about each of the planets in our solar system and how far they are from the sun. During our first small group activity, we made some moon rock art. We painted our moon rocks with pink, blue, and white paint using our fine motor skills. For our sensory and science activity, we learned how planets orbit the sun in our solar system in another small group. We used a bowl that had play dough stuck in the center of it for our sun and then we used marbles for the planets. We took the bowl and spun the bowl around to have the planets orbit the sun. For our large group activity, we used our math and cognition skills to connect the dots and make constellations. 

~Important Upcoming Dates~

Parent orientation will be on August 13th. There is a sign up sheet for parents to sign up for a time that works best for them.

CLC will be closed on Monday, August 16th through Friday, August 20th for our teacher work week.

The first day of the 2021-2022 school year will be on Monday, August 23rd.
