Today we read Fish is Fish by Leo Lionni. This book is about a fish wanting to be just like a frog and see the world outside of the water. For our first small group activity, we took our math and cognition skills and counted seashells. We counted the seashells so that they would match the number written on different colored sand buckets. In our other small group, we looked in our seashell sensory bin. We used our sensory and science skills to play with the sea animals, beach treasures, and seashells that were in it. We then made an Italy pizza craft in a large group together. We took a pizza and colored in our toppings to make it look super yummy using our fine motor skills.
