Happy Tuesday! We are so excited to be back to CLC. Today we read Contrary Bear by Phyllis Root and illustrated by Laura Cornell. In this book, a little girl and her stuffed bear realize how important it is to listen to her father. During our first small group, we used our sensory and science skills to look into our forest sensory bin. Our sensory bin was filled with pinecones and different types of forest animals. For our cognition activity, we played a game called wolves and rabbits which is exactly like sharks and minnows. We each took a turn in being a wolf to chase after the rabbits while playing the game in a small group. For our large group activity, we made a forest at night using our fine motor skills. We took brown tree trunks and glued them to our paper then we used sponges to stamp on our leaves of our trees.
