It's the start to a new week which means that we are learning about something new. This week we are learning all about the rainforest. Today we read Reptiles by Melvin and Gilda Berger. This book is about different reptiles that live in the rainforest and how some might hop to get around but other animals like a snake slither around the rainforest. Since it was a water day today, we took our activities outside with us. During our first activity, we took lily pads and played hide n' seek with them. When a friend found a lily pad they had to recognize the number that was written on it using their math and cognition skills. For our fine motor activity, we took frogs and made them jumps on the walls. The frogs jumped from brick to brick and all over the playground. Using our sensory and science skills, we then played a game called duck, duck, goose but changed it to monkey, monkey, elephant to go with our theme!
