Today we read The Fox and the Springtime Blossoms by Julia Rawlinson and illustrated by Tiphanie Beeke. Fletcher the fox finds the ground covered in white and runs to tell his friends that snow has fallen. They all visit the field together to find a bunch of flower blossoms, not snow. In our big group during activities, we made Mayan pyramids out of sand for our math and cognition group. We also painted with pipe cleaners that were shaped like flowers in another small group. We picked up the flower, dipped it in the paint and pushed it onto our paper using our fine motor skills. In our other small group, we played in our flower sensory bin using our sensory and science skills. Our sensory bin was filled with flowers that we made into bouquets. We also named the different parts of the flower and discussed how they grow!
