Happy Friday! Today we read Duck, Duck, Moose by Dave Horowitz. In this book, the two ducks and the moose live in the northeast but decide to travel elsewhere to escape the harsh winter. They decide to adventure to Florida and get pancakes while they are there. During activities, we used our fine motor skills to practice cutting a feather. In our sensory and fine motor activity, we took a leaf and put it under a piece of paper to trace over with a crayon; this showed us the veins and the specific shapes of the different types of leaves. We then played bird freeze tag in the motor room using our cognition skills. To play bird freeze tag we had to fly around the room until we got tagged and we were frozen until one of our other bird friends unfroze us. This week we learned so much about the outdoors and all it provides for us. We can't wait to learn more in the upcoming weeks!
