We had a great day welcoming everyone back from winter break! This week we are learning about snow and ice. For music, we danced, sang songs and played with music activity toys. Today, we read The Smallest Snowman by Sarah Fisch and illustrated by Jim Durk. For math and cognition, we did snowflake matching in small groups. For sensory and science, we did paint exploration. We dipped Q-tips in white paint and dotted snow on our snowmen. We also put googly eyes and small beads on for buttons. For literacy and fine motor, we listened to Footprints in the Snow by Mei Matusoka on tape as a large group. The kids enjoyed being able to play outside on this beautiful day!
Friendly Reminders:
CLC will be closed on Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King day.
