For breakfast, Ms. Tammy made us star toast with an egg inside. Next, we used jingle bells and danced to our holiday themed songs. Then, Ms. Hannah read Clifford's First Christmas by Norman Bridwell and Ms. Adrienne showed the class a picture of her puppy before we went to circle time. Finally, it was time for our activities. For math and cognition, our friends talked about our classroom tree. Friends noticed that the bottom of the tree is wide and the top is thin. We talked about measuring and how the bottom of the tree would take lots of hands to measure across it and the top would only take one. Next, we went on to our sensory and science activity, where we painted our hands and counted them as we made a tree. The bottom had three hands, the middle had two, and the top had only one hand. Tomorrow we will put ornaments on our trees. Last, we all went to the quiet room to listen to a book on tape. We listened to The Polar Express, written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg.
