With birds and trees as our focus this week, we read Birds at circle time today. We were asked true and false questions, then we discussed what we already knew about birds and new things we learned from the book. For our first small group activity, we practiced our scissor skills by creating fluffy feathers. We worked on number recognition and writing skills in the second group as we wrote numbers in birdseed trays. Then, in our third activity, we planted flowers! We took turns filling cups with soil and chose which type of flower we wanted to grow. After dropping in our seeds, we covered the holes and sprayed the dirt with water. We are looking forward to watching our cups and waiting for our flowers to sprout! It was a terrific Tuesday!
