Today, we read Who Lives in Trees? at circle time. After that, we sang for a friend to celebrate his upcoming weekend birthday! As our first small group activity, we went outside to measure the trees. We worked with partners and used cloth measuring tapes to estimate the diameter of the nearby trees, and we discussed which was the largest and which was the smallest. Next, we decorated tree branches with beads to work on our fine motor skills in the second activity. Then, in our last group, we made recycled bird feeders that we will hang on the tree out front of the center. It was a terrific Thursday!
