Today, at circle time, we read The Missing Dinosaur Bone. For our first small group activity, we looked at the actual size of dinosaur footprints and counted how many of our shoes it took to fill the prints. We found that the Tyrannosaurus Rex's footprint was smaller than the Triceratops' and that we didn't have enough shoes in our groups to fill that print. In our second group, we explored the sensory bin that was filled with bones, gems, and dinosaurs. We even got to use digging tools and brushes, just like paleontologists! As our whole group activity, we made handprint dinosaurs. After we painted them, we added eyes and named them after ourselves! It was a terrific Tuesday!
