Today, at circle time, we read Goodnight Football. We discussed basic concepts of the game and talked about the big one coming up this weekend! In our first small group activity, we experimented with a special tool. We took turns lifting a full water jug, then we used a board and football to create a simple machine to make the task easier. We matched footballs in our second small group, as we worked on letter identification. For our final small group activity, we practiced shape recognition by matching cutouts to shapes on footballs. With the temperatures dropping already, we stayed indoors and participated in an obstacle course. We had a great Thursday!
