To end our week, we discussed Groundhog Day at circle time. We watched a short video of the ceremony and then listened to a catchy song to help us remember what the day is about. Our first activity involved counting numbers 1 to 20, using one to one correspondence, by dotting soccer balls with our fingers that we had stamped in ink pads. We practiced our letter and number of the week on green, rice and pasta sensory trays that represented soccer fields in our second group. In our final small group activity, we identified letters on balls and tried to kick them into a basket to score a goal. We even got to play games with our large parachute because it was a little too cold to play outside. We had a fun Friday!
