Today, we read and sang Jingle Bells and shook bells and snowman maracas! We filled and emptied our pom pom and pipe cleaner containers. We also labeled the colors and sorted sizes with the pom poms. Next, we had our Winter break party with our parents! We gave gifts to mommies and received gifts from our teachers. We also cut wrapping paper, decorated stockings, and threw "snowballs" on the parachute! Then, we had some mommies eat lunch with us! We had a great time! Thanks to the mommies who were able to attend. We hope everyone has a holiday and we will see you when we come back!

Today, we read Biscuit's Hanukkah! Next, we poked candles in holes in styrofoam and then we marble painted! We also decorated our felt tree, pretended in the play kitchen, built with our holiday box blocks, and shook our snowman maracas while singing "Frosty the Snowman."

Today, we read Deck the Halls. It was fun singing the "Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!" part. We marble painted paper candy canes, decorated paper plate wreaths with paint dotters and bows, and explored lotion! We also sang and danced, played in the pretend kitchen, helped feed the fish, and played in the motor room! We had a great Friday! Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to wear your pajamas on Tuesday for our party! Parents, you can wear you pajamas too!

First, put in the paper, paint and marbles...

And then, put on the lid and shake, shake, shake!

Drawing circles!

Today, we read Chanukah Lights. Next, we made melted snowmen and then sorted bow by color. We also filled and emptied baskets of the bows. After the motor room, we read books, pulled ribbon out of the ribbon bottles and pushed pom pom balls into the pom pom push container. We had a great day!

Today, we read Shhh!, a Christmas book. In one group, we built with our holiday box blocks and in our other group we painted snowflakes with sponges on foil paper. For our fine motor activity, we stacked spools onto wooden rods. We also played dress-up!

Today, we read The Gingerbread Family, a fun scratch-and-sniff book! We continued our sniffing with our sensory activity of smelling different scented items. We smelled honey, peppermint, vanilla, cinnamon sticks, and a snip of a pine tree. Next, we sorted jingle bells! We talked about sizes: small, medium, and big. We also listened to the sounds they made. The big bells were louder than the small bells. In the motor room, we ran as fast as we could, like the gingerbread man! We also tiptoed, crawled, hopped, tried to crab walk, and scooted on scooters. Last, we practiced our fine motor skills with a pre-writing tracing sheet. We also had fun just coloring the snowflakes on the sheet. We had a fun day!

Singing "weather watcher!"

He must have liked the smell of honey!
