Today, during circle time, we read the book Roar: A Noisy Counting Book. Our first small group consisted of exploring sensory bins of habitats for animals all across the world. For our second small group, we matched animals and talked about their coloring. For our final small group, we rolled a dice and whatever animal we landed on, we filled in a bar graph! We counted how many bars were filled in and discussed which animal had the most. We had a fantastic Friday.

Today, we had a very special breakfast with our star of the week! We also spent circle time listening to her favorite book and learning all about her. After circle time, we went and played outside until Mrs. Ashley arrived to teach us more about vegetables. When she got here, we played a hot potato game and talked about the different shapes and colors of potatoes. Then we made pictures of the parts of potatoes and colored them. We even got to look at our garden, water our plants, and finally see our peppers growing. We had a super fun day.

Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11 - CLC CLOSED for Teacher Work Week 

Today, during circle time, we read The View at the Zoo. For one of our small groups, we played a mystery zoo game! We looked at different types of fur and guessed which animals they belonged to, and then underneath the furs were picture of animals to check our guesses. For our second small group, we matched pictures of animals and made patterns. Then, as our final small group, we practiced spelling by identifying the letters of the names of the animals and putting them in the right order. We had a wonderful Wednesday.
